There are quite a number of places in Miami or nearby that offer all kinds of programs with differing degrees of interaction, from
simply playing and observing from the docks where you don't even have to get wet, to free unstructured swims, or full-day
research programs, there is something to suit everyone and everyone's budget.
Snorkel Our Fantastic Reefs
There is an underwater paradise waiting at our doorstep... So strap on your mask and snorkel and head out to the reefs! The reefs? Can we just go off the beach? Truth is, although you can snorkel off any of our beaches, if what you have in mind is crystal clear waters, colorful tropical fish and vibrant corals in abundance, then heading out to the reefs is a must.
The third largest coral reef in the world lines our coastline, about 3 to 8 miles offshore, so no, you CAN NOT swim to it, you have to go by boat, we explore some of the most popular options.
As far as snorkeling off the beaches, while not spectacular, there is still plenty to see. We also share with you some of our favorite places and what
you can expect.

This has to be one of the funnest ways to sightsee. There are many tours that take you through the heart of the Art Deco District in South Beach, along South Pointe, the Miami Riverwalk... or simply rent a segway at one of the many outlets throughout the city and explore on your own!
New to Segwaying? (is that a verb?) No worries, friendly guides provide all the instruction and equipment for you to

With the right instruction, (which we had and we tell you all about it) you can be up and flying in no time and it's a feeling like no other...
There are a few places in Miami where flyboarding is available as well as many operators that will come to you, just agree on a time
and place, the ultimate in convenience, reservations are of course a must.
Scuba Diving in South Florida
Exploring our magnificent reefs is one of our favorite things to do in Miami. Although the Florida Keys get most of the attention, you should also consider going north towards Broward and Palm Beach counties where the diving is also spectacular and the driving distance about the same.
Scuba Diving and marine life is one of our passions, whether off a beautiful reef or shore diving off the beach, a new place or a beloved favorite, we don't miss a chance to get
in the water... We will be happy to share all we find with you, our favorite dive sites, operators, shore dives, etc.
