Easter has come and gone, temperatures are picking up but we still have some fantastic outdoor events before the scorching heat of summer kicks in!

Sun Fest opens the month, and the excitement of Formula 1 returns to Miami with the Miami Grand Prix taking center stage at Hard Rock Stadium.

Don't forget Mother's Day on the 14th, and to finish off the month, the National Salute to America's Heroes, the fantastic Air & Sea Show on Memorial Day weekend, a tribute to the men and women who gave their lives while serving our country.

May 2023 Highlight Events in Miami

SunFest Music and Arts Festival

Every year in the spring, the West Palm Beach waterfront becomes the stage of a gigantic party, a weekend with a full lineup of top musical acts, an Art District, Floating Bars, a 5k race and fantastic food options.

This year's performances taking place on a couple of stages will include some great names as it has in the past. Line up will feature the Chainsmokers, the Killers, Jack Johnson, Flo Rida, 311, All Time Low, Dropkick Murphys, Ziggy Marley, ALO, Anabel Englund, ARDN, Charlotte Sands, Fedd the God, Gatlin and many, many, MANY more!

Formula 1 - Miami Grand Prix - May 5 - 7, 2023

Once again in the Magic City, Formula 1 comes to Miami and is ready to unleash the fantastic spectacle that is F1 for fans in the USA and beyond. This exciting event will be back at Hard Rock Stadium's specially refitted Miami International Autodrome and its temporary 19-turn track.

Hard Rock Stadium will be at the center of all the action and host all spectator facilities. Pits and Paddock Club complex will be directly adjacent to the north side of the stadium.

Rolling Loud - The Largest Hip-Hop Festival in the World - Postponed to July

The largest Hip-Hop festival in the world, it has managed to attract some of the best rap lineups ever curated since its launch in 2014.

Some of the biggest names in Rap/Hip-Hop today have made an appearance at the festival... Kendrick Lamar, Future, Lil Wayne...

Redland International Orchid Show

Over 50 booths of colorful blooms at this 3-day event which features the largest annual orchid show in the country.

New World Symphony WALLCAST® Concerts

These are live classical music performances by the New World Symphony which are projected into a 7,000 square-foot wall at the New World Center for thousands to enjoy in a fantastic outdoor atmosphere.

Many Miami museums regularly offer free admission days, so take advantage and save if you can!

Fantasy Theatre Factory at the Sandrell Rivers Theater Series

Fantasy Theater Factory is a non-profit organization that manages the Sandrell Rivers Theater, a state of the art black box theater in Miami. FTF places its greatest programmatic emphasis on Theater for Young Audiences which place a primary focus on childhood literacy and ecology. Other focus areas of programming include: fitness, history, diversity, self esteem, peer pressure and bullying prevention. FTF also produces cultural arts workshop residency programs that serve at-risk youth, children with disabilities and general population students.

Monthly lineups include a bi-monthly film screening series, a bi-monthly live music series, an art exhibition series and a new play competition, where playwrights can have their new works performed as staged readings in front of live audiences.

Each year FTF produces well over 500 programs, many are FREE and open to the public, some offered for a low nominal fee, in many cases if you are unable to afford a ticket, please call their box office, and they will be happy to reserve up to four (4) free tickets for your party.
