With the cooler weather approaching and hurricane season behind us, November is a great time to head outdoors. Beaches are still balmy but the scorching days are over. All beaches and parks are open, this is a great time to be out!

Migrating birds are making their way back and manatees will be looking for the warmer waters, our National Parks will be teeming with wildlife soon.

Miami in November celebrates several exciting events and holidays, Covid-19 continues to present some challenges and the formats of the events may be different this year to accomodate enhanced health measures.

November 2021 Highlight Events in Miami

Miami Book Fair International

The Miami Book Fair International produced by the Center for Literature and Theatre at Miami Dade College is one of the nation's finest literary gatherings. It is 8 days of book parties, readings, street fairs and the highlight "Festival of Authors", which with over 350 participating renowned names in the literary world.

But it's more than reading and books, lots of activities are planned also for the little ones including a "Children's Alley" for kids, a fun learning zone featuring the wonders of music, science, art, storytelling, world cultures, health and even coding workshops.

Symphony In Lights Holiday Celebration at Gulfstream Park

Fantasy Theatre Factory at the Sandrell Rivers Theater Series

Fantasy Theater Factory is a non-profit organization that manages the Sandrell Rivers Theater, a state of the art black box theater in Miami. FTF places its greatest programmatic emphasis on Theater for Young Audiences which place a primary focus on childhood literacy and ecology. Other focus areas of programming include: fitness, history, diversity, self esteem, peer pressure and bullying prevention. FTF also produces cultural arts workshop residency programs that serve at-risk youth, children with disabilities and general population students.

Monthly lineups include a bi-monthly film screening series, a bi-monthly live music series, an art exhibition series and a new play competition, where playwrights can have their new works performed as staged readings in front of live audiences.

Each year FTF produces well over 500 programs, many are FREE and open to the public, some offered for a low nominal fee, in many cases if you are unable to afford a ticket, please call their box office, and they will be happy to reserve up to four (4) free tickets for your party.
