We are kicking off the year with a couple of top sports events specially for football fans, first off is the Orange Bowl and right on its heels the College Footbal Championship, both at Hard Rock Stadium which is ready to welcome fans with all the health precautions to keep everyone safe.
Covid-19 continues to present many challenges, large concert venues are still not operating although some of the smaller venues are beginning to welcome visitors following all social-distancing measures.
This month's top events include the Art Deco Weekend which this year has gone virtual, the South Beach Jazz Festival, and the Miami Beach Antique Show.
Thankfully January is the perfect time to be outdoors, so get out and enjoy the marvelous weather, there's much to keep us all busy this month! And this year don't miss the Miami Marathon which has gone virtual and is open to everybody, anywhere in the world you happen to be!
For our nature lovers, this is the perfect time to get out and soak it all up, our State and National Parks are teeming with wildlife, enjoy!

What's different this year? There will be capacity restrictions and increased sanitization throughout. Socially-distanced seats will be at least six feet apart, with the first several rows closest to the field blocked off. Hard Rock Stadium is a minimum contact stadium, there will be touchless security scans at all gates, touchless restrooms and no cash accepted. Food & beverage concessions will implement mobile ordering with express lane pick up. Face masks are required for all fans and personnel. There will be no tailgating.

The 2020-2021 College Football Playoff National Championship - Alabama vs Ohio State
Before the pandemic hit, there were a series of free fan-centered events planned for the CFP with Miami Beach at the epicenter of the happenings with free concerts and college pep rallies along the shoreline, Playoff Fan Central at the Convention Center, a 5k run in Miami Beach among many others. Large scale events that attract the masses won't be going ahead for obvious reasons but there is a possibility of smaller socially-distanced fan events that can be held according to the county safety and health measures, so stay tuned.

Art Deco Weekend 2021
Hosted by the Miami Design Preservation League, the Art Deco Weekend is a tribute to the Art Deco era and on a normal year, it involves a series of top notch events over a three-day weekend including Classic Cars, the Parade, Fashion Shows, children's performances, Films and Lectures, Live Music, Antiques, Street Festivals and more.
This year due to the pandemic, a diferent format is planned and for the first time, the festival is going virtual.

The Miami Marathon 2021
We will sure miss the fantastic weekend of running events that culminate with the renowned Miami Marathon on the final day with 25,000 runners, the beautiful course, fantastic views, and electric atmosphere! Runners and spectators alike flock down to Miami to enjoy what has to be one of the most stunning courses, passing along some of Miami's classic landmarks: Port of Miami, Art Deco District, the MacArthur Causeway...
But this year due to the pandemic, the Miami Marathon events are going virtual. What does that mean? Anybody can compete from anywhere in the world!
- 1. You choose your distance and complete your chosen distance race between January 10 - 31, 2021, following Covid-19 guidelines from your own local public health officials
- 2. Track your distances and times with any app, watch, or fitness device (You can even use a treadmill!)
- 3. Submit your results
- 4. Earn your medal!

The Miami Design District Performance Series kicks off in the fall and is a fantastic chance to enjoy live FREE outdoor concerts, our marvelous weather as it starts to cool off all wrapped in a fantastic South Florida atmosphere. The season normally starts in October and runs through the Holidays. Taking the stage on Friday evenings are performers in all sorts of genres from classical, pop, salsa... last year we had Gloria Gaynor, Jose Luis Rodriguez (El Puma), the Miami Symphony Orchestra... it's an eclectic bunch and regardless of who appears at Palm Court, it is always an enjoyable evening and a great way to kick start your weekend. New World Symphony WALLCAST® Concerts
These are live classical music performances by the New World Symphony which are projected into a 7,000 square-foot wall at the New World Center for thousands to enjoy in a fantastic outdoor atmosphere.
