We are kicking off the year with an array of outdoor festivals and exciting entertainment, get out and enjoy the marvelous weather, there's much to keep us all busy this month!
We start off 2015 with our magnificent fireworks display over Biscayne Bay and in January right on the heels of the holiday season, some fantastic festivals await.
The Art Deco Weekend goes all out this year celebrating the 100th birthday of the city of Miami Beach.
This month's world-class entertainment features some classic Broadway hits, Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King and Cirque du Soleil's Amaluna.
Sports fans won't be dissapointed, the Miami Heat and the Florida Panthers are well underway on their regular seasons.

Hosted by the Miami Design Preservation League, the Art Deco Weekend is a tribute to the Art Deco era and involves a series of top notch events over this three-day weekend including Classic Cars, the Parade, Fashion Shows, children's performances, Films and Lectures, Live Music, Antiques, Street Festivals and more.
The 2015 Art Deco Weekend is a celebration of Miami Beach's 100th Birthday, when we all take a step back in time and remember the last 100 years of Miami Beach, its history, architecture and people.
In addition, the League sponsors an array of great specialty tours offered uniquely during the weekend.

A weekend of Chocolate... Cars... Couture... The Festival of Chocolate is the Largest All-Chocolate themed event in Florida, featuring amazing chocolate indulgences peppered through a mind-blowing micro car display.
There will be demonstrations by world-class pastry chefs, a Cocoa Couture Fashion Show, live cake decorating competitions and much more.

The year's biggest beauty contest will take place in South Florida when the reigning Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler from Venezuela hands the crown to her successor, one of 80+ aspiring beauties from all around the world.
All the buzz and pageant related events will be happening around Miami and the satellite City of Doral.
As the contestants begin to arrive in Miami in early January, there will be a series of events, parties, parades, photo shootings, etc. all throughout the weeks leading to the final pageant on Sunday, January 25, 2015.

Calling all chocolate lovers! This weekend is all about chocolate at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens.
Featuring cooking demonstrations and samplings as well as lots of activities for kids, learn how chocolate is made and hundreds of ways to cook with chocolate.

Family Fun Fest is a FREE program at Biscayne National Park brought to you thanks to the many volunteers and park sponsors. It is held on the second Sunday of the month during the "dry and cool" season, December through April with lots of fun and educational activities for kids and adults alike.

The Circus is in town! Tigers, Elephants, Acrobats, Clowns...
This is an amazing spectacle, that certainly does justice to their motto "The Greatest Show on Earth"™.
Great family fun entertainment full of non-stop thrilling and exciting acts, just what a circus should be and more!
Don't forget to arrive at least a half hour before show-time for the pre-show event (which starts an hour before the performance), where kids can mingle and take pictures with the cast, i.e. elephants and clowns, try-out their juggling skills, or simply absorb all the fun atmosphere.
